|VIA NEW BEAUTY|
The holiday season is upon us, from now on your life will be a series of shopping, cooking, partying and traveling, and no time for getting sick so improve your chances of staying well by adding a lymphatic drainage massage or a manual lymph drainage massage (as it is often called) to your health regimen (more on this regimen later). It is best to set aside two days for this massage. One day to get the massage and the next day to recover. I'm not sure if it's the same for everyone but for me, the day after, I feel as though I'm under water, and prefer to spend it close to home or in bed. The following day, I feel awesome, and that awesomeness carries me through to the New Year.
Where do I get a lymphatic drainage massage? you ask.
The Washington, DC Metro Area has many good practitioners. My place of choice is Blue Heron Wellness off Route 29 in Silver Spring, Maryland. However, if you're outside of the DC Metro Area, here is a great site to aide in your search for a practitioner.
Finally, an added benefit of this massage, it is covered under flex-spending, so it's a great way to use up some of that money before the end of the year. Ask for a detailed receipt or use your flex-spending debit card to pay (but still secure a receipt).
And have a happy and healthy holiday season!
