The royal wedding rapidly approaches (I'm still having trouble wrapping my head around the fact that it's APRIL!) and the wedding blog-o-sphere talks of little else. Of course, the loudest of all the buzz? The Dress. Who will design it, what will it look like, whether there will be more than one: all mysteries at this point.
All the speculation, with very few confirmed details, can get a little weary, which is why I loved stumbling across this. Designers from all eight seasons of "Project Runway" submitted their fantasy sketches for Kate Middleton's wedding gown. The results were spectacular and appalling. There were some stunning gowns, including those by Carol Hannah Whitfield (#25); Shirin Askari (#30); and Christopher Collins (#49):
*honorable mention to Jonathan Kayne (#9) and Ivy Higga (#43) But then there were some that I just couldn't grasp, like those from and Jason Troisi (#39), Emmett McCarthy (#6), and Epperson (#26).
Of course, at this point, there's just a few weeks until we'll finally see the real dress and get some clues into the wedding that could potentially define the next decade. Remind me to set my Tivo!
