Giveaway: Name Change Kit

These are your last few hours to enter for a chance to win this MissNowMrs.com gift card. I will draw a winner at 5 p.m. EST today.

MissNowMrs.com gift card valued at $29.95 (the cost of the service).

I blogged some time ago about the process of changing my name. If I had it to do all over again, I probably wouldn't. The time and patience it took was more than I had to give, and if I had measured it in terms of dollars, far more than the $29.95 it would have cost me to use a service like MissNowMrs.com.

Recently, I became an affliate of MissNowMrs.com and they sent me a gift card to giveaway, and since I've been told that my giveaways are notoriously difficult, I'll make this one easy:

Are you changing your name after marriage? Are you taking your husband or wife's last name? Are they taking yours? Are you coming up with some hybrid of both names? tell me about it (by leaving a comment on this post), and don't forget to leave a name and email address, so I can contact you if you win. I will pick a comment randomly and the winner will be announced on Wednesday, March 10. The winner will have a week to contact me before their prize is forfeited and another winner will be chosen.

And given the rate of comments on this blog, your chances are very, very good.

I like these odds! I'm planning to drop my last name and take his. I'm from the south and most of my friends drop their middle name and replace it with their madien name. My middle name was my grandmother's name and very special to me so I want to keep it.

I plan to take on my future hubby's name. Although, there are not too many men in the family to continue the legacy of my dad's last name. I'm still going to take on my hubby's name and add some additional pressure to the few men left to continue my dad's family name. ;-)
