I was just reading an article on Forbes.com titled "How to Make Your Spouse Live Longer." The article says that "for years research has shown that married people, aside from weight problems, tend to be healthier than those who are divorced, widowed, never married or cohabitating. The reasons why, however, haven't been totally clear. Now a growing number of studies are looking at the role spouses can play in influencing each other's health." So this Valentine's Day instead of spending money on flowers, candy, spa treatments, things that are temporal (okay, in addition to), consider giving your hubby (or wife) the gift of a long, healthy life.
It's a great article and the "In Pictures" slideshow gives you tips such as: release your anger, follow the norm, nix your vices, hold hands, stay positive, be healthy, get thin...hmm.
